Common FAQs

If I renew my subscription ahead of the expiration, will I lose days?
No - renewing your subscription will kick out the expiration date by 1 year for yearly renewals and 2 years for 2-year renewals.

I'm having trouble logging in - can you guys reset my password?
Resetting your password can be done right from the login screen. Simply click on "Reset your password" and follow the instructions. you should receive an email with the reset password link where you can change your password. Remember to write it down!

What types of subscriptions do you offer?
We offer monthly, annual, and multi-year subscription plans and single or multi-user licenses. If you need a 3,4, or 5-year subscription, we offer these on request. Please email: sales@airworthy.com with your requested subscription length.

What is the difference between single and multi-user accounts?
Multi-user accounts allow you to give access to sub-users via their email address and change who is doing the work. Multi-users allow you to:

  • Track individual IA activity for IA Activity Reports
  • Allow admins to restrict access to sub-users (i.e., invoices) as needed
  • Allow selection of responsible parties (A&Ps or IAs) for reports (under 43.9 or 43.11) for work orders, AD reports, and logbook service records

How do you ensure your data is accurate?
We have direct access to the FAA database and tag, categorize, and structure FAA data appropriately to make it easier to create aircraft profiles, AD reports, and any other type of reports that rely on FAA data.

How often is this site updated?
Airworthiness Directives ("ADs") are updated daily. Emergency ADs are updated in (near) real-time. We are constantly updating the site to improve cross-tagging of anything that can make it EASIER to find compliance and service information.

I need to change the IA / A&P name and number
If you need to change the IA certificate number, you can do that from the My Profile page. If you'd like to change your name, you have to contact us. More on this process here.

I'm not too good with computers - how easy is this to learn?
We're a team of aviation and software professionals committed to creating simple to use tools for the General Aviation community. If you need extra help, you can always call us.

I made an aircraft profile and the engine / airframe model is wrong!
Sometimes the aircraft registration model(s) are wrong due to FAA registration data being wrong (we simply pull from the FAA database). In this case, create an aircraft profile from the model type and then add the N-number manually.

I want to update my report - how do I do that?
Updating your AD Reports is easy - you just need to decide if you want a copy of your old report as a historical record or you simply want your old report to update with new ADs and the new date. To duplicate and update - use the update report options on the navigational menu (or see here). To update the existing report (and not have a historical copy), simply change the date at the top.

I searched for an N-Number but I can't make a profile - the button is missing?
With the addition of biz jets and larger turbine aircraft to TBX, some aircraft variants require more user information. For these (where the "+ aircraft profile" button is missing, create an aircraft profile using the make/model search.

My Logbook Record isn't printing correctly
Printing can depend on many factors: page setup (we recommend letter), browser plugin used in printing, selecting the correct Avery template to print on, etc. Check to make sure the margins are auto and that you are printing from the actual PDF and not the browser. 

How often do you update FAA Forms?
FAA forms are looked at on a monthly basis, generally the first Friday of the month to determine if there are any new versions of FAA forms.

I searched for an N-Number but it won't let me add the Aircraft Profile - what's going on?
This will happen for experimental aircraft and business jets with variants that need more user guidance. For these instances, make the aircraft profile by searching make OR model. Note: for experimental, type "exp" in the manufacturer box. (Quick tip: less is more, so try searching one or the other beforesearching both make and model!)

I'm currently using other software programs - can I migrate my reports and inventory?
We've successfully migrated hundreds of users and uploaded inventory lists and helped them get going with our tools. Email us at support@airworthy.com with a list of what software programs you use and how we can help you consolidate your workflow (and save you money!).

I haven't heard of TBX before - who are you?
We merged the two "greats" in general aviation compliance, Tdata and The AD Toolbox to form TBX in 2024. We are found in over 50 countries and count over 60,000 active aircraft people are working on right now. Thousands of users use TBX every day to stay compliant, manage maintenance, and save time (and money).

I have an idea for a feature enhancement to make this product better - how can I relay that information?
All of our updates and enhancements are driven from users like YOU. Can I create profit and loss ("P&L") reports from my invoices or parts?
Currently we only offer simple monthly, quarterly, and yearly invoice "Summaries" vs. full on financial reports. We hope to add Inventory/Parts summaries and more in-depth reporting (i.e., "P&L") shortly. Let us know how we can help you or what you'd like to see by contacting us.

My serial numbers are not being accepted / are coming up incorrect on my profile!?
We perform specific serial number matching for AD applicability and require users (at times) to change the format of the serial number to allow us to do that matching. simply change the serial number to our accepted format and you will be good to go - it's usually a dash in between model number and serial.


Do you guys offer e-signature / e-signoffs?

To increase the font size on any page, simply zoom in using Ctrl + + on a PC or Command + on a Mac. More on this here.
