[Work Orders](https://help.airworthy.com/work-order-management?hsLang=en#work-orders) July 8, 2026 # Work Order Components ## How to add, edit, and remove work order components? **Important**: Previously stored values for TTAF, TTE, TTP, Tach, Hobbs and Misc Time have been migrated to work order component hours.  If none of these fields had times entered, there will be no values under Hours. In order to **use Work Order Components**, your work order **MUST** be **linked** to an **aircraft profile**.  To link a work order to an aircraft profile, see [these instructions](https://help.airworthy.com/linking-a-work-order-to-an-aircraft-profile?hsLang=en) If your work order is **not linked** to an aircraft profile, you will only have the ability to **add hours types and edit times**.  ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-20-2026-05-41-05-5379-PM.png?width=540&height=368&name=image-png-Jun-20-2026-05-41-05-5379-PM.png) If your work order is **linked** to an aircraft profile, but you **do not see the Edit Components** table, you can **still use Work Order Components**.  Click the **blue pencil icon**. See [Linking Aircraft Profile Component to Work Order Component](https://help.airworthy.com/work-order-components#link) and [Import Components from Aircraft Profile](https://help.airworthy.com/work-order-components#import).  If you see **Edit Components** table, click the blue pencil icon. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-15-2026-05-31-05-3518-PM.png?width=482&height=322&name=image-png-Jun-15-2026-05-31-05-3518-PM.png) If you have an **any Work Order Components** that are **linked** to an **Aircraft Profile component**, a dialog box will appear with two options: [Sync with Aircraft Profile Hours](https://help.airworthy.com/syncing-work-order-component-hours-with-aircraft-profile-hours?hsLang=en) and **Edit Work Order Components and Times** Click the **Edit Work Order Components and Times** (**Note**: if there are no work order components linked to an aircraft profile component, you will automatically be directed to the Edit Components and Times page). ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-20-2026-05-59-34-1005-PM.png?width=438&height=594&name=image-png-Jun-20-2026-05-59-34-1005-PM.png) **Import Components from your Aircraft Profile:** To **import** that aircraft profile components to your Work Order, click **Import Aircraft Profile Components**. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-15-2026-05-47-01-0816-PM.png?width=670&height=260&name=image-png-Jun-15-2026-05-47-01-0816-PM.png) Select which aircraft profile component(s) you want to **Add** to the Work Order, and click on **+ Import Selected Components** ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-15-2026-05-51-11-9806-PM.png?width=670&height=383&name=image-png-Jun-15-2026-05-51-11-9806-PM.png) If the aircraft profile component is already in your work order, you will not be allowed to add it again. If the aircraft profile component has hours that are not zero, the times and hours types will be imported to the work order component. **Remove a Work Order Component** If you have replaced a component in the Aircraft Profile, or imported something incorrectly, you can remove the Work Order Component. Click **Edit Components**, and select the **Edit Work Order Components and Times **button There will be a **Trash Can** icon across from each element. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-08-2026-03-45-56-6854-PM.png?width=1611&height=516&name=image-png-Jul-08-2026-03-45-56-6854-PM.png) Confirm you want to delete in the popup, and the Work Order Component will be removed. This does **NOT **remove the Component from your Aircraft Profile. If you want to add it back, or add a new component, follow the instructions above for **Importing Components **from your Aircraft Profile. **Link a Work Order Component to an Aircraft Profile Component:** If a work order component is not linked to an aircraft profile component, you will see Not Linked next to the component. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-20-2026-06-15-58-0152-PM.png?width=493&height=89&name=image-png-Jun-20-2026-06-15-58-0152-PM.png) You will see **Select component to link** dropdown. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-20-2026-06-17-07-7920-PM.png?width=630&height=127&name=image-png-Jun-20-2026-06-17-07-7920-PM.png) Select the **aircraft profile component** from the dropdown, then click **Link** button. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-20-2026-06-19-16-7854-PM.png?width=633&height=151&name=image-png-Jun-20-2026-06-19-16-7854-PM.png) This will link the work order component to the selected aircraft profile component.  This link creates the ability to [Sync with Aircraft Profile Hours](https://help.airworthy.com/syncing-work-order-component-hours-with-aircraft-profile-hours?hsLang=en) -
