Why are my work order parts not transferring over to an invoice?!
How to check to see if you've already invoiced those parts
We give users the ability to turn on inventory tracking in the My Settings section of TBX. When inventory tracking is turned on, the system will track how parts are used in work orders and invoices that are tied to that work order so you don't "overbook" a part.
When converting a work order to an invoice you are given the option to select specific discrepancies or all discrepancies and add those to an invoice.
If you are converting that work order to an invoice and the parts aren't transferring over, make sure that:
- You aren't selecting any discrepancies that have already been invoiced
- If a discrepancy has already been invoiced, you won't be able to re-invoice that discrepancy again (and the parts attached)
- You haven't already invoiced those parts (check your invoices!)
- If you've already invoiced those parts, you won't be able to re-invoice them again
To remedy the situation, simply delete the invoice that the parts are attached to and re-open the work order to re-invoice the parts.
