In our system, we apply serial number applicability to airframe ADs to make it easy to see what serial numbers apply. In order for this to work properly, sometimes you have to change the serial number format of your aircraft.
For example, for a Cessna 172, the serial number might be 17275659. Our system will give you a red error code when you add the aircraft profile using this serial:
To update it to the correct format, simply click on the blue pencil next to "Aircraft" and we'll guide you on the correct format, i.e., "172-75659"
