What is the Serial Number Applicability Guide?
The serial number applicability guide is a tool available to airframe ADs inside your AD Compliance Report. By entering your airframe serial number in a specific format, the serial number applicability guide can review an AD and determine if the AD is applicable to your serial number. Note: The serial number applicability guide is simply a guide, it is up to the person reviewing the AD to ultimately determine if the AD is applicable to your serial number.
To use the serial number applicability guide on your AD Compliance Report, click the blue pencil next you your airframe model.
Check the box for "Use S/N Applicability Guide in this AD Compliance Report"
If your serial number is not in the format needed for TBX to compare your serial number to the ADs in your AD Compliance Report, you will get a red error message with details about how your serial number needs to formatted in order to user the serial number applicability guide.
Adjust the serial number to match the requested format.
When the serial number matches the requested format, you will get a green message.
Click "Save" button.
TBX will use your serial number to compare it to the serial numbers in each airframe AD and offer a suggestion as to whether the AD is applicable to your serial number or not.
Please remember this a guide and it is your responsibility to review the AD to determine if the AD is applicable your serial number.
