How to create an aircraft profile
Aircraft profiles drive AD reports, work orders, invoices, and logbook records
Aircraft profiles are the "heartbeat" of the AD Toolbox system, allowing you to quickly track work orders, create AD reports, invoices, quotes, and logbook records from one place.
To create an aircraft profile from the "Aircraft Profiles" navigation bar item, navigate to your member dashboard (main page) and select "Aircraft Profiles".
Next, select the " + Aircraft Profile" button up top to start adding the airframe make/model:
Search by N-Number or Make or Model. For example, if we could search by N-Number, "N340NG":
You can select the plane immediately by clicking on the view icon (eye to the right):
Similarly, we could search for the model by inputting "340" in the model field. Note the variants - our model is a "340" and not a "340A".
This will pull up the Aircraft Profile for the aircraft where we can begin to add pertinent information related to this aircraft: Tail#, Serial#, Aircraft times, the customer/owner, any photos, and any other related documents.
You can add an engine and propeller on the tabs to the right:
The engines and props have all been pre-configured to what the aircraft has as certified options. You are also able to search for alternative options / variants as well:
There you go. You will see your aircraft profile now in the list of Aircraft Profiles.
