How to Create an Aircraft Profile
Aircraft profiles drive AD reports, work orders, invoices, and logbook records
Aircraft profiles are the "heartbeat" of the TBX system, allowing you to organize and quickly track work orders, create AD reports, invoices, quotes, and logbook records from one place.
1. To create an aircraft profile, navigate to your member dashboard, scroll down to the "Aircraft Profiles" section and click the "+ Profile" button

2. Search by N-Number OR by Make or Model. Searching by the N-Number is recommended when possible as it will import information such as the owner and serial number of the aircraft.
3a. When searching by N-number, click on the "Search by FAA Registered Aircraft" button.

You can select the plane immediately by clicking on the Tail # highlighted in blue :

The next page is a summary of information on the plane. Click the "+ Create Aircraft Profile" button.

Next is a popup window, you can verify the owner information. The owner will be added to your customers unless you uncheck the checkbox. Next click the "+ New Profile" button. You will now have an aircraft profile.

3b. Sometimes, searching by the N-number isn't possible. In this case, search by manufacturer or model. When searching by manufacturer or model, click on the "Search by Aircraft" button.
Note the variants - our model is a "340" and not a "340A". Click the "+ Profile" button next to the correct make/model.

4. Whether you chose to search by N-Number or by make/model, you now have an Aircraft Profile for the aircraft and can add pertinent information such as Tail#, Serial#, Aircraft times, the customer/owner, any photos, and any other related documents. To add this information, click on the Blue edit
button next to the relevant category:

6. You can add an engine and propeller on the tabs to the right:

Go to Directions for adding an engine to an aircraft profile
Go to Directions for adding a propellor to an aircraft profile
7. You will see your aircraft profile now in the list of Aircraft Profiles as well as on your Dashboard in the Aircraft Profile section.
