How do I create an Aircraft Profile from a Reserved N-Number?
Aircraft profiles should be created manually
Sometimes, we need to create a profile from an aircraft that has a "reserved N-Number" that is not active yet. Unfortunately, we do not incorporate the reserved N-Number database into the Aircraft Registry (at the time of this writing).
As for now, to set up an aircraft profile for an aircraft this is not in the active aircraft registry, we suggest creating it through the manufacturer/model search.
To setup up the aircraft profile, insert the model type. For example, if it was a 172s:
This will allow you to create a profile for the correct aircraft. Note: because we did not pull data from the FAA database you will have to manually enter the tail number, serial number, and registered owner information.
