Selecting between Quotes & Estimates
We give users the ability to differentiate between quotes and estimates - here's why
A "quote" is a fixed price for a product or service, meaning it is a precise and legally binding amount that the seller is committed to charging, while an "estimate" is an approximate price that may change based on further details or unforeseen circumstances, making it less firm and not as legally binding as a quote. Essentially, a quote is a definitive price, whereas an estimate is a best-guess price based on available information.
We give users the ability to create either, depending on the situation. Users can build quotes and estimates directly from their aircraft profiles and access them from the lefthand navigation bar.
Users can change the type of quote to quote or estimate by selecting the blue pencil within any quote or estimate and selecting what type it is:
