One way to reduce duplicative effort is to convert a work order and its discrepancies into an invoice for billing. To do this, open a work order and select the Tools button in the upper right where you can select "Convert to Invoice":
You'll be prompted with the option to convert all or a portion of discrepancies into an invoice. Once converted into an invoice, you will then have the ability to print to pdf using the same Tools button:
