[Other Work Order Functions](https://help.airworthy.com/work-order-management?hsLang=en#other-work-order-functions) March 31, 2026 # Adding Documents to a Work Order ## Users can attach or link documents to a work order First open your work order and then go to the **Documents** tab. Click the **purple "+"** button to select a document from your computer. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-06-55-8608-PM.png?width=670&height=257&name=image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-06-55-8608-PM.png) Click "**Choose File**" and select the file you want to upload. **Note**: only .**jpg, .jpeg, .pdf, and .png files less than 60MB are allowed.** ![doc 1](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/doc%201.png?width=547&height=205&name=doc%201.png) Once a file is selected that meets the upload requirements, the Upload button will be enabled.  Click "**Upload**" button. ![doc 2](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/doc%202.png?width=549&height=200&name=doc%202.png) The file will be uploaded, but to complete the process, you must **complete Step 2**.  The **Document Name** will be auto-populated, but you can change it.  You may also change the **date** and add any **internal notes** regarding the document. ![doc 3](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/doc%203.png?width=670&height=727&name=doc%203.png) To **view** a document, click on the **Documents** tab and then the **name of the document**. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-08-20-0220-PM.png?width=598&height=238&name=image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-08-20-0220-PM.png) ***Note:** Documents linked to a work discrepancy have a wrench icon.  You can also add or link a document to a Discrepancy in exactly the same was as to a work order.*     To **link** a document that has already been uploaded to TBX but not linked to your work order, click on **Documents** tab and then click the **link icon**. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-11-09-9965-PM.png?width=605&height=250&name=image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-11-09-9965-PM.png) If your work order is **linked to an aircraft profile**, documents linked to that aircraft profile will be listed at the **top of the Add Document Link list**. **![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-15-29-3235-PM.png?width=542&height=225&name=image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-15-29-3235-PM.png)** If the document is **already linked** to your work order, it will be noted as "**Linked**" ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-16-57-0376-PM.png?width=562&height=233&name=image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-16-57-0376-PM.png) To **link** the document to your work order, click **Link Document**. ![](https://help.airworthy.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-18-08-4979-PM.png?width=576&height=239&name=image-png-Jul-30-2025-01-18-08-4979-PM.png) ***Note:** Documents can only be linked to the Work Order and not directly to the discrepancy.  To link a document to a discrepancy, you must first link it to the Work Order.* -
