Adding Appliances to AD Reports

Users can add applicable appliance ADs to their AD Reports 

AD reports are built with airframe, engine and prop info automatically and then we need to add applicable appliances installed on the aircraft along with their ADs. 

To add appliance information, navigate to an AD Report Prep page or create an AD report directly from an Aircraft Profile. 

Now select the "Action" button in the Appliance Info section of the report to include in the report in three ways:

  1. Select Appliance ADs
  2. Suggested Appliance ADs (recommended)
  3. Manually Add Appliance Info
  4. Import Aircraft Profile Equipment List

Add Appliances via "Select Appliance ADs"

This method allows you to search our database of nearly 600 appliances. For example, if you are looking for an Avidyne PFD 700, you can search for "Avidyne" or "Primary Flight Display"

To add ADs to your report, first click the checkbox next to the ADs you want and then click the "+ Add" button at the top of the list.

Add Appliances via "Suggested Appliance List"

This method (recommended) filters appliances with ADs that have been certificated to your aircraft model.  Click the checkboxes next to the ADs you want and then go back to the top of the page and click the "+ Appliance ADs" button.

 

Manually Add Appliances

This method allows you to add non-certificated appliances, appliances without ADs, and even STCs to a compliance report. Add the Appliance/STC information and hit save.   These appliances will be listed in the Appliance Info section of the report but will NOT automatically load ADs to the report.  They create a text list only.  

If there are ADs on these appliances, you will need to locate the appliance ADs using one of the 2 above methods and add them to the report that way. 

In the example below, we added a Tachometer for a Cessna 340:

Import Aircraft Profile Equipment List

If you maintain an Equipment List on your Aircraft Profile (recommended), you can import the list to your AD Report.  The equipment/appliances will be listed in the Appliance Info section as a text list.  This will not automatically find or add ADs, you will need to add them via one of the top two methods above.
